with over 30 years’ experience as an actor on the stage, as on-camera and voice-over talent in national commercials, and the narrator of over 60 audiobooks with Hachette Publishing and available on audible.com and utilizing a holistic approach, eve has developed a system that marries breath and vocal expression with physical and imaginative freedom, encouraging engagement of the whole self to connect thought and action without strain and tension. teaching from a protective and nurturing place, while maintaining demanding expectations allows for a fun and safe environment where students can freely explore in concert with a rigor this industry demands

  • performing arts high school admissions (2 session minimum)

  • college conservatory admissions (2 session minimum)

dialect coaching

each session will be 1.25 hours

  • achieving a more general American accent (2 session minimum)

  • regional accents for ongoing character development ( 2 session minimum)

  • cast continuity with regional accents (number of sessions to be determined with creative team)

foundations of acting I course:

12 weeks – 1 2.5-hour session/week

  • grounded in Stanislavski’s system and Uta Hagen’s Exercises, in this course we will explore the “self” as a gateway to character through imaginative exploration in tandem with concrete tools and techniques that will guide you in your journey of living truthfully under imagined circumstances.  At the end of this course, you will have a monologue that you will be able to comfortably use for auditions

foundation of acting II course:

12 weeks – 1 2.5-hour session/week

  • continuing the work in foundations of acting I, we will advance to scene work.  in addition to deepening our understanding of OBJECTIVE & GIVEN CIRCUMSTANCES, we will be introduced to techniques such as RELATIONSHIP and STAKES among others.  working with contemporary scripts, we will be introduced to the skill of ‘how to read a script as an actor’.  students should expect to work on 2 scenes over the course

group workshops

foundation fun I:

1 day / 3-hour workshop

  • in this workshop, we will explore through various exercises and games the connection between imagination and behavior in our endeavor to tell stories truthfully.  students must be dressed in neutral clothing that allows freedom of movement. there is no need to have any prepared material

playing with Shakespeare:

3-hour workshop

  • in this workshop, you will be introduced to various techniques that will help you bring Shakespeare’s characters to life, by understanding and following the rules of scansion, rhythm and sounds in connection with the foundations of acting technique.  actors will need to have a short monologue memorized from one of Shakespeare’s plays and must bring along a printed copy to the workshop
